Noel Lovisa Files Complaint Against BitcoinCashCity.com Owner, Alleging Cybersquatting

On 16 September 2022, Noel Lovisa and his company BCH Pacific Limited filed a complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), freezing my domain and locking me out.

Noel Lovisa Files Complaint Against BitcoinCashCity.com Owner, Alleging Cybersquatting

Noel Lovisa, the CEO of Code Valley, claims that I registered the domain on his behalf in 2019 while I was employed by entities under his control and that the domain should rightfully belong to him or BCH Pacific Limited. He further alleges that I have no legitimate rights to the domain and that my continued ownership constitutes bad faith, citing posts where I expressed openness to selling the domain.

The complaint seeks the transfer of bitcoincashcity.com to Noel Lovisa personally, and a second domain (bchpacific.com) to BCH Pacific Limited.

These claims are strongly disputed. I intend to vigorously defend against this complaint and demonstrate that the domain was not registered in bad faith nor as an agent. Furthermore, I will show that Lovisa’s arguments rely heavily on disputed narratives, including mischaracterizations of events and working relationships.

Ironically, this complaint was filed months after I gave Lovisa multiple opportunities to resolve the matter amicably—including a one-sided offer where I agreed to transfer the domain, on the sole condition that he stop contacting me and leave me alone. Incredibly, he refused. It's clear that rather than accept a simple resolution, he preferred to escalate the situation through legal action in an attempt to burden me financially and cause harm.

I will continue to assert my rights over the domain and set the record straight in due course.
