Noel Lovisa Files Complaint Against BitcoinCashCity.com Owner, Alleging Cybersquatting

On 16 September 2022, Noel Lovisa and his company BCH Pacific Limited filed a complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), freezing my domain and locking me out.

Noel Lovisa Files Complaint Against BitcoinCashCity.com Owner, Alleging Cybersquatting

Lovisa claims that I registered the domain on his behalf in 2019 while I was employed by entities under his control and that the domain should rightfully belong to him or BCH Pacific Limited. He further alleges that I have no legitimate rights to the domain and that my continued ownership constitutes bad faith, citing posts where I expressed openness to selling the domain.

The complaint seeks the transfer of bitcoincashcity.com to Noel Lovisa personally, and a second domain (bchpacific.com) to BCH Pacific Limited.

These claims are strongly disputed. I intend to vigorously defend against this complaint and demonstrate that the domain was not registered in bad faith nor as an agent. Furthermore, I will show that Lovisa’s arguments rely heavily on disputed narratives, including mischaracterizations of events and working relationships.

Ironically, this complaint was filed months after I gave Lovisa multiple opportunities to resolve the matter amicably—including a one-sided offer where I agreed to transfer the domain, on the sole condition that he stop contacting me and leave me alone. Incredibly, he refused. It's clear that rather than accept a simple resolution, he preferred to escalate the situation through legal action in an attempt to burden me financially and cause harm.

I will continue to assert my rights over the domain and set the record straight in due course.
